    Medtronic MiniMed Instinct CGM Skin Barrier Underpatch

    Designed for the Medtronic MiniMed Instinct CGM sensor.

    Freedom Band® CGM underpatches are applied beneath the compatible CGM adhesive to create a physical skin barrier between the device adhesive and skin. Also commonly described as an underlay or underlay patch, the underpatch goes on first, before the sensor adhesive. Unlike an overpatch, it sits beneath the compatible CGM adhesive.

    Underpatch vs. Underlay

    Underpatch and underlay are commonly used terms for a barrier patch worn beneath compatible CGM adhesive. Freedom Band® underpatches provide a physical adhesive barrier between the compatible device adhesive and skin.

    For additional adhesive security and protection during daily activity, pair your Freedom Underpatch™ with a compatible Freedom Overpatch™. The Underpatch sits beneath the compatible device adhesive as a skin barrier, while the Overpatch is worn above the device to help provide additional hold and coverage.
