FREEDOM UNDERPATCH™ – 2" FULL-BARRIER CGM & INSULIN PUMP UNDERPATCH

The Freedom Underpatch™ is a soft, breathable 2-inch (50.8 mm) solid adhesive barrier designed to help separate your skin from the original adhesive of compatible CGM sensors and wearable insulin pump devices.

Unlike traditional underpatches with a center opening, our new solid, no-center-hole design allows compatible CGM sensors or pump cannulas to be applied directly through the Freedom Underpatch™ during normal device application.

When properly centered, the compatible device's adhesive footprint remains on top of the Freedom Underpatch™ instead of directly contacting the skin.

The device should be properly centered on the Freedom Underpatch™ so the device adhesive footprint remains within the 2-inch barrier area.

HOW THE FULL-BARRIER UNDERPATCH WORKS

SKIN → FREEDOM UNDERPATCH™ → CGM / PUMP / CANNULA → OVERPATCH OR FREEDOM GUARD™

1. Clean and completely dry the application area.
2. Apply the Freedom Underpatch™ directly to the skin.
3. Center the compatible CGM or pump applicator over the 2-inch underpatch.
4. Apply the device according to the device manufacturer's instructions. The insertion needle and sensor filament or cannula puncture through the underpatch during normal application.
5. The device remains positioned over the Freedom Underpatch™, creating a barrier between its adhesive footprint and your skin.
6. For additional security, apply a Freedom CGM or Insulin Pump Overpatch or Freedom Guard™ System.

For customers looking for additional adhesive security, we recommend pairing the Freedom Underpatch™ with one of our hypoallergenic overpatches.

Our compatible Freedom Overpatches are available using the same soft, breathable, extended-wear medical adhesive material used for the Freedom Underpatch™, giving you a consistent material option above and below your CGM or pump.
