How to Apply Your Freedom Solo Overpatch™

Clean the skin with soap and water or an alcohol wipe, then allow it to dry completely. Do not apply lotion, sunscreen, or oils before application.

Apply your Dexcom G7 sensor according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Peel the inner backing closest to the center from the Freedom Solo Overpatch, avoiding contact with the adhesive whenever possible. 

Center the overpatch around the Dexcom G7 sensor and gently press it onto the skin. 

Smooth from the center outward, pressing firmly around the entire patch to eliminate wrinkles and ensure full contact with the skin.

Remove the outer backing and repeat the application process. 

Apply gentle pressure for 30–60 seconds to help activate the adhesive. Run a finger around the surface 10 times for a perfect fit. 

For Best Results

Wait 4–6 hours before showering, swimming, or heavy sweating. This allows the adhesive to fully bond to your skin for maximum wear time.

Apply to clean, dry skin for the strongest adhesion.

If desired, trim body hair before application (do not shave immediately beforehand).

If the edges begin to lift after several days, press them down firmly while the skin is clean and dry.
