All Freedom CGM & Insulin Pump Bands Use the Same Setup & Adjustment Process

Welcome to the Freedom Band Family

The Freedom Band® is designed to help protect compatible CGM sensors, insulin pumps and wearable devices during everyday activity, sleep and exercise. The application process is the same across the Freedom Band systems we offer, even when the device or Freedom Case shape is different.

Each Freedom Band system includes two adjustable bands. Use one band for a shorter fit or connect both bands when additional length is needed.

How to apply and adjust the Freedom Band

How to Wear & Adjust Your Freedom Band

Warm Up the Band

Before wearing, gently stretch the band a few times. This warms the fabric and elastic so it flexes naturally around your arm.

Do not overstretch or pull excessively.

Position the Freedom Case

Place the Freedom Band over your compatible CGM, pump or wearable device. Center the protective Freedom Case over the device.

Choose One or Two Bands

Use one adjustable band when it provides enough length. If more length is needed, join the two included bands with the connecting loop.

The connecting loop is used only when joining both bands.

Change or Connect the Bands

The bands are not sewn to the Freedom Case. Slide a band off the open arm of the case, then slide the desired band onto the arm.

When connecting both bands, use the included connecting loop and confirm that both bands lie flat without twisting.

Adjust for a Comfortable Fit

Shorten or lengthen the band until the Freedom Case stays centered during normal movement. Use only enough tension to hold it in place.

The band should feel secure, not tight.

Quick Fit Check

Band moves or slides?
Shorten it slightly.
Band feels tight or leaves excessive pressure?
Increase the band length immediately.
Need additional length?
Use the connecting loop to join the second included band.
Want to change bands?
Slide the current band off the Freedom Case arms and slide the preferred band into place.

Nighttime Wear & Compression Lows

Direct pressure on a CGM sensor—especially while sleeping—can sometimes contribute to an artificially low reading commonly called a compression low. The Freedom Band helps provide a protective barrier around compatible sensors.

For nighttime use, keep the band comfortably positioned and do not overtighten it. If a reading does not match how you feel, follow your device manufacturer’s instructions for confirming glucose levels and making treatment decisions.

Important Safety Information

The Freedom Band is a protective accessory. It does not replace your device manufacturer’s application, wear or safety instructions. Check the position and comfort of the band regularly and discontinue use if you experience discomfort or skin irritation.
