The Freedom Barrier Underpatch is a soft, latex-free and zinc-free adhesive barrier designed for FreeStyle Libre 3, Libre 3 Plus and Libre Duo CGM sensors. Applied directly to the skin before your sensor, the underpatch creates a barrier between your skin and the original sensor adhesive.

Designed for users who prefer an additional layer between their skin and CGM adhesive, our underpatch combines a thin, flexible design with materials selected for comfortable extended wear.

Unlike an overpatch that is applied over and around a CGM sensor, the Freedom Barrier is an underpatch. It is applied directly to your skin before installing your compatible sensor.

The sensor is then applied over the barrier according to the manufacturer's application instructions, creating an additional layer between your skin and the original sensor adhesive.

Our underlay patches are latex-free and zinc-free and available in adhesive material options so you can determine which feels best on your skin.

Test Your Underpatch Before Sensor Application

Important: Test the underpatch on your skin before using it beneath your CGM sensor. This allows you to evaluate your individual skin response to the material and adhesive before committing to a full sensor application.

Overpatch Recommended for Added Security

For additional security and durability, pair your Freedom Barrier Underpatch with a compatible adhesive overpatch after your sensor has been applied. The underpatch creates a barrier beneath the sensor adhesive, while the overpatch provides additional adhesive coverage around the sensor area.

Add a Freedom Guard for Physical Protection

For additional physical protection, pair your underpatch and overpatch with a compatible reusable Freedom Guard. This soft, flexible guard helps protect the CGM sensor against everyday bumps, scrapes, catches and snags.
