FreeStyle Libre 2 & Lingo CGM Skin Barrier Underpatch

Designed for FreeStyle Libre 2 and Lingo sensors, the Freedom Patch™ Underpatch sits beneath the compatible CGM adhesive to create a physical skin barrier between the original sensor adhesive and skin. Also commonly described as an underlay, underlay patch or adhesive barrier, it is applied first, before the sensor adhesive.

The round FreeStyle Libre 2 & Lingo underpatch has a center opening designed to leave the sensor insertion area unobstructed while providing coverage beneath the surrounding original sensor adhesive.

Test Your Underpatch Before Sensor Application

Important: Consider testing your selected underpatch material on a small area of skin before using it underneath a CGM sensor. Individual skin responses to adhesive materials can vary.

How to Apply Your FreeStyle Libre 2 & Lingo Underpatch

1. Clean and completely dry the sensor application area. Avoid lotions, oils, sunscreen or other products that could interfere with adhesion.
2. Use the custom 3-part EZ Peel backing to apply the Freedom Patch™ Underpatch directly to your skin while minimizing contact with the adhesive.
3. Apply your FreeStyle Libre 2 or Lingo sensor over the underpatch according to the sensor manufacturer's instructions, aligning the sensor insertion area with the center opening.
4. For added adhesive security and coverage, apply a compatible Freedom Overpatch™ after sensor application.
5. For additional physical protection, add a compatible FreeStyle Libre 2 & Lingo Freedom Guard™.
