New Simplera Sync Freedom Guard & Overpatch System: Reusable Protection for Your Medtronic CGM

Freedom Band’s Simplera Sync lineup has expanded. In addition to the skin-barrier and adhesive-repair options we covered in our original Simplera Sync guide, the store now includes dedicated Freedom Guard and replacement Freedom Guard overpatch options for compatible Simplera Sync wear.

A reusable Freedom Guard changes the protection options

The new system adds a reusable physical-protection layer to the existing adhesive accessory choices. Instead of relying only on additional tape around the sensor area, a Freedom Guard can help address bumps and snags while the overpatch secures the compatible guard system.

Replacement overpatches are now listed separately

The Freedom Guard Overpatches for Medtronic Simplera Sync are available as replacement adhesive patches for the guard system. That means the reusable guard and the consumable adhesive layer do not have to be replaced together.

Freedom Band products are accessories. Follow Medtronic’s current instructions for sensor insertion, placement, required tapes and use. Do not force a guard or patch onto a device it is not specifically listed to fit.
