Product details
Tandem & Medtronic Insulin Pump Cannula Site Underpatch
Create a physical skin barrier between your skin and the original adhesive on compatible tubed insulin pump infusion sets and cannula sites with this 2.25-inch Freedom Underpatch™. The underpatch is applied to the skin first, then the compatible infusion set adhesive is positioned over it.

How to Apply an Insulin Pump Cannula Underpatch
- Clean and completely dry the application area.
- Apply the Freedom Underpatch™ directly to the skin using the 3-part backing.
- Position the compatible infusion set so the cannula and connector align with the center opening.
- Apply the infusion-set adhesive over the underpatch according to the pump or infusion-set manufacturer's instructions.
- Add a compatible insulin pump overpatch if additional edge reinforcement is desired.
Underpatch vs. Overpatch
An underpatch goes on the skin first, beneath the compatible infusion-set adhesive. An overpatch goes over the existing infusion-set adhesive to reinforce the outside edges. Some users choose to use both for a layered setup.
For best adhesion, apply to clean, completely dry skin and follow the insulin pump and infusion-set manufacturer's application and safety instructions.
