Protect and reinforce a compatible tubed insulin pump infusion site with this lightweight, flexible 2.5-inch Freedom Overpatch™. The adhesive patch fits around compatible infusion-set and cannula-site adhesive, providing supplemental 360° adhesive coverage while the 7/8-inch (about 2 cm) center opening helps keep the connection area accessible.

This waterproof micro-woven insulin pump infusion-site overpatch is designed for everyday wear, exercise, sleep and other activities where additional adhesive reinforcement may help support the outside edges of the existing infusion-set adhesive.

How to Apply Your Infusion-Site Overpatch

1. Apply the compatible infusion set according to the pump or infusion-set manufacturer's instructions.
2. Make sure the surrounding skin is clean and completely dry.
3. Position the Freedom Overpatch™ around the infusion set so the connector and cannula site remain properly aligned and accessible.
4. Use the No-Touch 2-part release liner to position the patch while minimizing unnecessary contact with the adhesive.
5. Smooth the adhesive outward and press around the perimeter to establish contact with the skin.

Overpatch vs. Underpatch for Infusion Sites

This Overpatch goes over and around the existing compatible infusion-set adhesive to reinforce the outside edges. If you need a physical skin barrier beneath the original infusion-set adhesive, use a compatible Tandem & Medtronic Insulin Pump Freedom Underpatch™.

The Underpatch and Overpatch serve different purposes and can be combined when appropriate: the Underpatch sits beneath the compatible infusion-set adhesive, while the Overpatch provides supplemental adhesive coverage from above.
